Love as process is all about will… the will that makes all things possible… the will force that is behind the whole of creation, that which sustains the ongoing upward unfolding – the unfolding image of the Source…
It is through our becoming instruments for love entering – for love to enter into the working of the world – that Thy will can be done, on this earth at this time.
Christ, as one of his going forward gifts, gave us the principle of loving one another as I have loved you (JN13:34). The essence of the love of Christ, his acting as an instrument of the one who sent him, is his making it possible for us to realize our potential – to do, as he did – by fulfilling the intent of the Source. His surrendering to the will of the Father, accepting his instrumentality, is a manifestation of his love for God (MK12:30) – the other of our going forward principles – a showing of the way for us as well.
Love as will, entering through essence – the pattern of intent – is free of the entanglements of existence… the entanglements so familiar to us – our expecting a return, the expectation and need for gratitude, etc.
Thus as we surrender to being and becoming instruments for love entering, we enter into a process of shedding – the shedding of entanglements… a shedding which moves us towards an inner sense of calm and peace… an inner sense that does not take us out of the realities of existence, its drama and dynamics, but rather gives to us a centering capacity – an ableness to be more true, regardless… and through this, as we begin to get a deeper, more meaningful experience of the truth of love, we move closer to the essence of truth itself, and its intended way of working…
…And the truth shall set you free (JN8:32).
