“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as in heaven” (Mt 6).
There is no hate in heaven; heaven is not a place of hate. Heaven is neither the source of, nor a willing receiver of hate; it is neither a sanctioner of hateful processes, nor a welcomer of the heart full of hate. Should hate, in any shape or form enter heaven, heaven disappears; it no longer is. Thus the need for constant vigilance, an ever present alertness for clever disguises; especially for that form of hate that is skillfully cloaked in “good” intentions – the illusional justification for turning away from loving one another to do the self-serving right, the seemingly necessary. There is no path of hate that leads to the coming of the kingdom… all paths of hatred are paths that move us – not towards – but clearly away from the truth, the good, and the love of the Source – the real substance of heaven.
Christ, our savior, died for our sins. Christ, our redeemer, made all inclusive love accessible to each and all.
Christ, our savior, died for our sins; it is the grateful embracing of the truth of this, of what is now possible for us, that frees us up to turn our attention away from human weakness, human failings… and by doing so focuses our intention on human potential… on taking up a way of “loving one another as I have loved you”… a way of following the path of the truth, a path of the life, a path of becoming fully and truly human.
Christ, our redeemer, made all inclusive love accessible to each and all. In following the path of our redeemer we move in the direction of becoming instruments for love entering the process… a becoming process which in turn makes possible the shedding – bit by bit – of all vestiges of hate… a possible shedding which naturally requires faith, our having faith… faith in love, faith in life, faith in the truth of Christ having fulfilled, having completed, his work on earth. A fulfillment that now opens the way for us to turn our minds, to open our hearts to love… to seriously seek to be and become instruments for love – all inclusive love – entering into the working of the world, our living world… moving us in the direction of congruence with intent, the intent of the Source.
It is goodness that is eternal; it is goodness that returns to the Source, nourishes the Source. Goodness is not of us, but can and does work through us. It is through love that goodness enters, that goodness returns.
Hatred is not of the Source… and is not in and of itself eternal. The sustaining of hate, maintaining its active presence, requires vigilance, ongoing effort, and constant attention on our part. As love enters, hate dissipates – literally melts away. Where love is truly present, hate cannot be. Where love resides, hate is non-accessible.
It is through love, ever deepening love, that intended unfolding – the eternalizing of life – sustains its course… love unconditionally seeking receptive vessels – open hearts – through which to enter into the working of the world – the world of life, our world… the unfolding world of the children.
Now is a time of becoming… a time of love entering… a time of having faith… having faith in love, faith in life, faith in the truth of intent.
