Love will not be present in the outcomes
…no matter how noble our cause.
Hi All,
I am sharing here some early morning thoughts which emerged while reflecting on the reactive energies evoked in our community and beyond in response to the recently enacted Alabama immigration law, and in response to the ensuing consequences… reactive energies of fear, anger and divisiveness; reactive energies manifested through attacking, demonizing, blaming, justifying, defending, arguing, and on and on. It is the hope that these reflective thoughts, thoughts unfolding from the perspective of potential, will provide food for reflection and reflective dialogue as we enter this New Year, reflection leading to the creation of intentional purpose and guiding principles – intentional principles – in the face of any cause that stirs us as persons, as community, as a people.
People are not a problem to solve; people are potential to unfold.
At the heart of our potential is the imbedded pattern of intent – the unique essence pattern imbedded within each at the time life enters – which reflects the at-this-time intended unfolding of the Creator.
There is one Source, one living Source of the ongoing unfolding creation; all else are instruments, intended instruments of love, intended instruments through which love enters into the life processes of earth. All of which leads us to the truth: All are equal at essence; no one person is above another.
Right working of our instrumentality lies within the embracing of our instrumentality – as individuals and as community – and, with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul and all our spirit, answering “Yes” to our called work, our unique work, our intended work as instruments of love.
Each has called work. All are called; each must choose – choose between intent and going another way, between Thy Will and my will, between being fueled by love and being fueled by anger/fear.
If love is not present in our processes, love will not be present in the outcomes… no matter how noble our cause.
Each is intended to return – to return to the Source of creation… return after carrying out our work as instruments of love.
And each is intended to become – to become fully and truly human in the dignified image that was and is intended, the process of becoming being essential to all of humanity advancing our humanness, becoming intentional people. Our becoming fully and truly human as persons, and advancing our humanness as a people of earth, reflects our work and role in Thy kingdom coming, Thy will being done on earth as in heaven.
Taking up the work of advancing our humanness, it is useful to remember that community is the smallest whole, community (versus individual) being the essential instrument for moving significant issues up a platform, including the issue that evoked this writing… a platform where we are fueled by love and congruent with intent, wholeness, and working for all children in the world…
At this time of potential, the shift in advancing our humanness calls for three essential interrelated processes…
Bringing ourselves and the world of our making into congruence with intent and intended ways of working.
Taking up the work of moving towards wholeness, moving away from that which divides.
Taking up pursuits that work for ALL children, all children in the world.
All of which enables our seeing the essentiality of the two commandments that Christ left for us…
The eternal commandment: Love God.
And the going-forward commandment: Love one another as I have loved you.
