Taking the Process Path of Harmonious Congruence
Notes from our Wisdom Writers Dialogue Day, January 16, 2017
In January, Wisdom Writers came together for a dialogue day… a day for developing our capacity for seeing the process pattern of Christ – the way of authentic humanness, of becoming fully and truly human… the process path essential to each and all taking up our called work and living beatitude at this time of increasing divisiveness and self-centeredness in our country and the world.
Reflecting on and dialoguing the Gospel, working to see the process and patterns of Christ, holds the promise of providing images of the intent and intended way of working of love – the all-inclusive love emanating from the Source of all creation. If we are serious about creating a hopeful future for the children, creating a culture that works for all children in the world; then a place to begin is with the words and way of Christ… reading and reflecting together until we access images of the intended process path of an authentically human community, a community becoming a vessel for the love of the Source entering earth. These images will provide for us a guiding philosophy for living on this earth at this time in harmony with the truth of Christ, a philosophy that enables our joining in the Father’s eternalizing life work on this earth in the here and unfolding now.
Below you will find two sections to this writing… the first being the topical flow of the dialogue which made up the first half of our day together, this part of our dialogue serving to organize heart and mind for the work; the second being the charcoal sketch notes of our afternoon’s work to develop our capacity for seeing the process pattern of Christ.
Organizing Heart and Mind for Seeing the Process Pattern of Christ…

Behind the living philosophy of potential is the dynamic ongoing unfolding of essence virtue on this earth at this time… the truth of essence virtue embedded within, enfolded and intended to be unfolded… within humankind, within the whole of life.
Through reflection, intentional dialogue and prayerful questioning, we open ourselves to “seeing” these essence virtues… within self, others, systems, processes, lands and things.
These “seeings” given us are the wisdom of intent… enabling our living and working in harmonious congruence with intended ways of living earth, intended ways of humankind.
We have two arenas for our reflections as we open our heart/minds to seeing intent and intended ways: the works and the word… the works of creation and the word of the Creator.
Reflecting on our experience of life, much of creation is not yet covered over by the world of our making, still accessible for the seeing of intent, and intended ways. For example, through reflection and intentional dialogue we have been given a “seeing” of the essence virtue of this Gulf Coast estuarial land on which we live as being rhythmic soothing, life replenishing, intentional remembering. Yet, where it comes to the intended way of working – the essence virtue – of humankind, we really have no experience of the whole of humanity working as intended… for enabling our “seeing” the virtue embedded within, our potential enfolded, intended to be unfolded.
As we have pursued this path of accessing the seeing of wisdom, wisdom to guide our (humankind’s) work and roles (versus the culturally common reason leading), through reflection, dialogue and prayerful questioning, we were given “A Seeing of Truth” (see the book, Work for All Children which made visible the conscience maintainer for this time of now…
If love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcome.
Holding this truth in heart/mind – in Wisdom Writers dialogues and beyond, we have set upon the work of reflecting on the Gospels – source for the intended way of working of love in the process – for the seeing of the intent and intended way of working of humankind… on this earth at this time… seeking images of the process and patterns of Christ.
Journeying into the Gospels in search of the process pattern of intent (recognizing that process always comes before structure and structuring), we are seeing that reasoned interpretations are moving away from process and towards structure and structuring answers that are more understandable to reason. All of which is calling for our suspending some attachments/habits as we go forward with the aim of seeing the process path of authentic humanness given us by Christ…
Suspending reasoned interpretations of the past… calling for our reading the words and reflecting on the processes of Christ with freshness, with reflection, dialogue, prayerful questioning.
Letting go of a human centered perspective; and taking on a life of the whole/whole of living earth perspective… calling for seeing the truth of humankind having work and role relative to the intended eternalizing of living earth as do all other members of living earth.
Seeking the seeing of the process of intended ways of working of the fully and truly living human being, in the here and unfolding now…
Letting go of attachments to the idea that following Jesus was only about the hereafter – getting to heaven – and embracing his intent that we work on becoming fully and truly human… becoming a people of earth with the ableness to join in the Father’s intended upwardly unfolding living creation… the Father’s eternalizing life work.
Our processing of the Gospel in this way, working together to see process, to see intent and intended ways, suspending our attachments that interfere with our being open to the Spirit of Truth entering, has led to our seeing…
The “essence virtue in process” of the Source of all as being eternalizing life.
The essence virtue in process of Christ as being all-inclusive love entering.
And, we, each and all – person, community, humankind, as intended members of living earth – have unique essence virtues… embedded intent of the Creator – intended to be unfolded now, in the here and unfolding now.
All of which leads to seeing we are called to create harmonious congruence of the essence virtue of the Source, the essence virtue of Christ, and our essence virtue – as a person, as humanity, as a community within the larger community of life… harmonious congruence – the original/eternal intent – is what we need to be seeing, understanding and processing (and writing)… harmonious congruence being the essence of the process of our staying intentionally connected to the Source… to Thy Will, not “my will”… as we live in the here and unfolding now. This is made clear in the Lord’s Prayer… the prayer for harmonious congruence… as in heaven, so also on this earth.
Yes to sanctifying Thy Name through our particular called work, yes to embedded essence virtue being unfolded, manifested on this earth… as persons, communities, people of earth… essence virtue manifested in harmony with Thy Kingdom coming and Thy Will being done.
Yes to Thy Kingdom coming… community yes to becoming vessel for all-inclusive love entering life… community by community yessing… leading to humanity becoming vessel for all-inclusive love entering.
Yes to Thy Will being done on this earth at this time of now… to fulfilling the Father’s eternalizing life command.
Christ, by completing his work, provided us the pattern of the process of the fully and truly human… of a humanity as a community, an intentional member of earth’s life community…
And he left us with all that we need to become a people living in harmonious congruence:
The two commandments: Love God… Love your neighbor made new, specific to the era of potential we are now entering: The Father’s command is everlasting life and Love one another as I have loved you… on this earth.
Access to the Spirit of Truth, essential to our seeing the particular… the Paraclete – the Helper – who will remind us of all Christ has told us, and tell us everything… everything we need to know to be able to come from wisdom, the wisdom of intent… to enter into the process of harmonious congruence with the life eternalizing command of the Father and the all-inclusive love command of the Son.
He showed us the way and the truth and the life… Making clear No one comes to the Father except through me… no one comes to the Father except through loving one another as he loved us – unconditionally, all-inclusively: Follow me. He became a process model for us of the intended way and the truth and the life…
The beatitude way of all-inclusive love entering…
The truth of the Father’s intended ways of working of life and love… through his manifested process (the Gospel) and the everlasting access to the Spirit of Truth…
The living Yes (yessing) to the eternalizing life command of the I AM… living Yes to one’s called work which enables participates fully in the Father’s command.
Dialoguing Words of Christ with the Aim of Seeing His Intentional Process…
At this point in our Wisdom Writers dialogue day, we took up the work before us, choosing and processing words of Christ, mostly through reading aloud from several different translations of the particular passage, seeking to see the process being used by Christ or being taught by him. We began with John, Chapter 3, the interaction between Jesus and Nicodemus… moving around the room with readings of the same passages, noticing those words in each translation that are process and which structure (e.g., everlasting compared with eternal), and sharing with one another the images that come to the fore when we read and imaged process words.
As our dialogue unfolded, we were naturally led to several other passages of the Gospel, searching for Jesus’ words that were about himself, and then reflecting on them as speaking of himself as humanity, or speaking of himself as a fully and truly human being, member of the whole of humanity… both being relevant to the intended ways of each and all. Some of the territory covered…
I do not seek my own will, but the will of the one who sent me.
My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and accomplish his work.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you because of me…
Submit us not to the final test…
Our Father who art in heaven…
Lead us not into temptation…
Do not hide your light under a basket…
If I the master and teacher have washed your feet… you ought to wash one another’s feet… I have given you a model to follow; What I have done for you, you should do…
Whoever believes into me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these…
…imaging which led to a seeing of our (self and humankind’s) work on this earth at this time from a different perspective… seeing the process path before us… and with a sense of urgency to work together in dialogue going forward for the purpose of each and all seeing our own particular embedded essence virtue – the virtue behind what we are experiencing as our called work in the now – living the beatitudic way, a way leading to our community becoming vessel for all-inclusive love entering, intentional community able to join the Father’s eternalizing life work… for seeing ever more clearly the process path of Christ, a process we ourselves are intended to follow… a path advancing towards harmonious congruence… toward peace on earth.
