Christ, rather than just reconnecting or regenerating the pathway to love as it was previously manifested, brought to us a resurrecting evolutionary step in the experience of love on earth. He made known that we – each and all – are brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of a Common Father (Ref. Mt 6:9; 12:50)… and that love is to flow within, through, between and among all. Love is to flow freely through receptive and open hearts, unrestrained and unrestricted by blood relationships, the chosen and un-chosen. This is to be an all-inclusive process, open to all who would willfully open their hearts to the Creator… love equally present and available to all – restrained and restricted only by the receptivity of the heart.
This evolution in love makes possible our living and working in the higher ways brought to humankind through Christ. This evolution is not so much physical, material, or functional in nature, but rather one of being. Being evolutions require inner processing… processes that include and involve reflection, conscience, receptivity to wisdom, and, most particularly, openness of and to the heart… and at this time, the surrendering to one’s instrumentality and the answering of the call… a process exemplified by Mary, the mother of Jesus (Ref. Lk 1:38).
And, as is true of evolutionary processes, the previously revealed truths of the time of law and obedience are not discarded, but rather enfolded into the new way… enfolded in a way that deepens the meaning of that which was, and spiritually enriches that which is to be and become.
And so, through reflecting on the multifold working of Christ, we can begin to see more clearly the reopening of the pathway to the Father, the reconnecting of the Father’s people to the Father, his teachings developing an understanding of a way of life, a way of manifesting spirit, and by the way of his life and work, revealing to us the truth of our instrumentality… the truth that the Father, our Common Father, is the Source of all good (Cf. Lk 18:19). And at this time, obedience welcomes the truth of our willful surrendering to our instrumentality and the answering of the call. In this way, we, in a manner similar to that of Christ, can make way for the entry and flowing out into the working of the world, the Spirit – such that the intentionality of the Creator can be carried out. Here again we can see the upward shift from being agents of God to becoming instruments… vessels through which the Spirit – the manifesting will of the Creator – can flow. Whereas Mary, by surrendering to her instrumentality (Ref. Lk 1:38), made possible the material realization of Christ, it is through our surrendering that makes possible the spiritual realization of the Christ. And in this way we willfully engage and walk upon the ascending unfolding path of intentionality, the path of our potential.
