Love… continuously emanates from the Essence of creation, its true and only Source. With unfailing alertness and infinite patience, love seeks an opening through which it can flow… the means by which it can enter into the working of the world. In the absence of an open vessel, a receptive heart, love cannot enter the world… and a loveless world ceases to work, ceases to be, and brings unimaginable suffering to its Creator.
Upon entry, love works not to gain power… nor does it pursue power and authority over others; it seeks not to dominate, nor to be understood. Love seeks to illuminate and gain understanding of.
Love casts not shadows… it is pure light… a light that freely enters a receptive heart – a beckoning instrument. Love, once welcomed, goes about its work of reflecting from and among one another… a reflecting that awakens faith, breathes life into hope, and strengthens spirit. Love illuminates ultimate truths… the truth of our instrumentality… the illusion of our being a source… the truth of our oneness and equality… the reality that but for our Creator, no one is superior. Love celebrates our uniqueness as it works to unfold and manifest our essence.
While love holds returning as its purpose… love has as its ultimate aim lighting the path of evolution of our being… the path by which we ultimately become that which was and is intended: a perfect reflection of the image from and through which we were created. Love enters and lights our path in ways that sustain our longing to return, and our ever-strengthening yearning to become. Always beckoning and occasionally admonishing us along our intended path of progression, love lightens the burden of our soul… yet calls attention to and provides focus to the work before us.
Love lights the way… and leads us to advance our humanness beyond love based on or restricted to common or shared blood… to embrace one another, each and all members of the human family, as brothers and sisters – neighbors, one and all.
As we, humankind, progress along our path, and our capacity for embracing the working of love deepens, our work becomes increasingly intrinsic… requiring more inner acceptance and a freer and more conscious choice not realizable through external forces (that is, authority or persuasion, reason and logical argument, commands, threats, fear or guilt), but more and more through the work of our heart and the working of our conscience. Each new progression does not diminish the significance of the previous, nor lessen it being required… rather, that which comes before becomes enfolded into the new… with deeper and truer meaning, and a greater possibility of being truly lived out. Thus the new progression – to embrace the whole of life on earth, to understand and honor its working, and to nourish and bring forth life’s potential and its processes – does not diminish the love required and intended between and among our brothers and sisters… nor does it lessen, but rather makes more real, the truth of our dignity and equality. And, as we continue our progression along our path, love’s working calls upon and requires many more, not fewer, receptive hearts and willful instruments… especially now, with oneness and wholeness being brought to the fore. These receptive hearts become the focal points of the light, of that which is to be understood and served… the aim of our work.
That which love illuminates and wisdom enables us to see, brings to faith a new dimension and added perspective. Faith which has worked to sustain the path of our return – the path of return to the Source – now adds the dimension of our instrumentality and role in the intentional ongoing creation… for humankind was not intended as an end point of creation, but rather as an instrument with an authentic and genuine co-creator role… a role in the unfolding, and yet to be unfolded majesty and mystery of creation… a role that requires we become fully and truly human… fulfilling and perfecting our particular role in the Creator’s work … and therein lies the hope.
