Wisdom sees and understands
intended ways of working – the truths of intent.
Ever since the beginning, the beginning of the process through which life emerged on earth, there has been intent, intent manifested through intended ways of working: intended ways of working of the living system we know as earth, intended ways of working for the whole of life, and for life’s members – including ourselves as living human beings.
What is most obvious in this living world of intent is that we are not the source. What is equally obvious, after a bit of reflective seeing and understanding, is that we – like other communities of life – are intended to be instruments, instruments that have real work and roles to carry out.
The wisdom of intent is accessible; the seeing and understanding of intent is accessible through the intuition of wholeness. This is good news, not only for ourselves, but for the whole of life on earth. This makes it possible for our path to be one not of stumbling and haphazard experimentation, but rather one of seeing and understanding… a path and a way of living and working more congruent with the intent of the Source… a path whereby we and life can fulfill our purpose – our reason for being on earth.
This path of intent, this path of our potential to become fully and truly human, is a path we seem to have a habit of wandering away from, wanderings that share some common points of departure, the most common seeming to be the loss of faith and trust in the Source – the intentional Source – a loss often accompanied by illusionary efforts to establish ourselves as the source, or to establish that which we construct as the source. We see this at work in the various creation stories of earth’s people, an apparent willful forgetting that all – all on earth – are instruments, instruments through which truth, love and good can enter into the working of the world, but instruments nevertheless. There is but one Source. Clear understanding of Source and instrument is critical to our staying on path.
