On Becoming Wholey
This writing emerges from recent reflective questioning processes – responding to the inner stirrings of now in ways that manage the impulses, motivations and energies of argument, such that we can bring forth intuitively – within heart and mind – validate-able seeing and understanding of intentionality.
Now is the time of potential, a time for realizing the potential inherently, intentionally present within each and all. A time for realizing the potential Christ made possible through completing – perfecting – his given, his called work upon this earth. It is a time for moving towards wholeness… for becoming wholey: for embracing the whole of the truth of the Source, the Source of life, love and truth; for embracing the essence of the teaching of Christ – if love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcomes; and for embracing the whole of the truth of ourselves – our intentional livingness, our intentional humanness… the truth of each and all having an essence virtue, called work, a gift to manifest, work to carry out.
A time for moving towards wholeness, for becoming wholey as a person, as a community. A time requiring a shift in perspective, a change in the start point of our thinking. While much has been written about perspective shifts and thinking start point changes, two examples that entered our process may bring some added insight:
+ The shift from rules and judgement towards love and mercy present in Pope Francis’ change of era understanding… a change of era requiring moving towards, coming from, a commandment based intentional perspective.
+ The change of thinking start point present in Mother Teresa’s approach to abortion: “Send me all your unwanted children”… shifting the thinking start point from legality, legal imposition, to love in the process – the essence of the teaching of Christ.
Moving towards wholeness, becoming wholey, is a faith based, work organized process requiring our having faith in intent, the intent of the Source; and our joining in the nourishing, eternalizing of life, advancing humanness work – the work grounded in original intent. All of which coalesces, comes together in the particular work of now: creating a hopeful future, a culture that works for all children in the world… children of life, love and truth, children of the one and the same Source.
Towards the end of our processing, the more familiar notion of being holy – that which emerges from a thought base organized around returning/salvation – entered. Being holy, desiring, aspiring to be holy; reflecting upon that in the context of the willful pursuit of becoming wholey – fully, truly human, becoming an intentional people of earth, life and love – brought forth images of the ways and patterns of truth… in particular the enfolding-unfolding pattern of truth. The way the essence of the truth of the previous is enfolded within the intended unfolding to emerge as a deeper, more whole, more complete manifestation of truth – essential truth… neither losing nor diminishing the previous seeing and understanding. And that which provides food for further reflection and processing became the closing of our process.
