Seeing the here and unfolding now philosophical relevance of Christ’s teachings and process
Living the here and unfolding now philosophical relevance of Christ while taking up the called work of now: creating community cultures that work for all children in the world and speak for the living earth.
Finding examples to be helpful to developing understanding, a friend recently asked how I manifest the Christ based philosophy in my own life. This question, one I had not demanded of myself before, led to a week of reflection and dialogue, the essence of which you will find here.
The philosophical relevance of Christ we seek is a here and unfolding now relevance. It requires little reflection to see the common pattern of our culture today is divisiveness… that which comes from reason – the reasoning mind of existence – leading our thinking. Which brings us back to remembering our leaving the Garden… turning our back on the trees of wisdom and life. Wisdom sourced in love being that which is and forever has been what is intended to lead our thinking… and the tree of life – life being that which we, humankind, are intended to ongoingly nourish the vitality of.
In the here and unfolding now, what is called for is a philosophy whole enough, complete enough to enable coming together as a people of earth to return to wisdom leading our thinking; and life being made whole. This being the philosophical relevance we seek in the process and teaching of Christ.
Terry and I, working together to develop and make visible the living philosophy of potential, came to see that our partnering process is a yin/yang process… his calling to speak for earth; my calling to work for all children in the world. Remembering with yin/yang, each must be embedded within the other, we soon came to see that what works for all children works for the living earth; and what works for the living earth works for all children. Thus, the yin/yang of earth and her children being essential for developing a here and unfolding now living philosophy of potential, for developing a process for creating cultures that work for all children in the world and speak for, ongoingly nourish, the living earth. And so, when I speak of my personal experience of Christ’s process and teaching, it could not have taken place without ongoing intentional dialogue – a process Christ spoke of: Where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Through our experience, we knew that we could reflect and dialogue on life (untouched by man) and come to see, through intuition, its essence process, its intended way of working. Yet, where would we look to see the intended way of working of love, the exemplar of such? Given humankind has work, the nourishing of life work, this needs be an exemplar of love manifested in and through one’s work, called work. Which led to our seeing Christ, Christ as process, as the exemplar, focusing on the essence of his process and going forward teachings manifested through his work.
The work before me was a concentration on Christ as an authentic living human spiritual being working to make life whole… including human life, one of earth’s intended members. Which called for my suspending all that I had been taught about Christ and concentrating on his teaching and process relevant to our, humankind’s, returning to our intended work and role, the original intent, on this earth. A personal journey of letting go, developing intuition, believing before seeing; believing what I was being given. Compare this with the reason-led culture inside my head arguing “You will be shunned if you speak what the Spirit gives to you; if you suspend religious teachings, you may lose your soul; when you start thinking this new way about Christ, what will people think? You really do not know how to do this! No one will listen to you, follow you, a woman. This is not your work,” etc.
A very personal experience of choosing to see the here and unfolding now relevance of Christ has been one of transcending the come from below reason led cultural messages, and turning to discerning/reflecting/dialoguing what was/is Christ’s process. What is the relevance of his teaching, in the here and now? What does love in the process look like? Very daunting work; yet spirit-lifting as the come from above seeings began and are continuing.
Perhaps the most overwhelming seeing that came is that Christ’s process and teaching through a lifetime, including through death, are a full whole complete pattern of authentic living human spiritual beingness, yessing the everlasting life on this earth command of the one Source, Creator, Father of each, all and everything. Christ gave us the whole process pattern for authentic humanness. We are intended to follow this pattern. His teachings were to make clear that which was behind his ways, where truth came from, how truth is accessed, the role of work in life, etc. … that which the reasoning mind cannot see. All speaking to the intuitive heart/mind of processes and images. Not so much to remember or memorize; but to see, develop understanding of, and then do. Being process, not structure/structuring… his process and teaching become forever relevant to all with seriousness about being authentic, becoming intentional… by and through our having faith in intent, believing the Spirit speaks to us, developing our intuitive heart/mind of essence to an openness to Spirit entering.
Christ was/is a Work Organized Process… Most initially significant was experiencing Christ’s words about work; ultimately leading to seeing Christ was a totally work-organized process…
Do you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?
My food is to do the will of the One who sent me and accomplish His work.
For this I was born, for this I came into the world, to testify to truth.
Father, I glorified you on the earth by perfecting the work You gave to me that I should do… his prayer to the Father at the Last Supper.
Taking in these words as a process for us to embrace, I found it inspiriting to see that we, each and all, as persons, as humankind, are intended to follow Christ’s process and teachings such that one day, we will be able to pray, “Father,I glorified you on the earth by perfecting the work You gave to me that I should do.” Each and all of us have a unique essence process – a virtue, a gift, potential – embedded within; work (a process) we are given, are intended to manifest, perfect on this earth at this time! Calling for our yes, for our ongoing yessing. Seeing that before Christ, many were called and few were chosen, and after Christ, all are called and each must choose… a process we see began with Mary, mother of Christ. What works for all children in the world is seeing, understanding, yessing and perfecting the unique work we each have been given that we should do… as persons and as humankind.
Christ was/is a Come from Above Process…
I come from above; you come from below…
Get behind me Satan, you are thinking the things of man, not the things of God.
I speak only what the Father has given me… If you know me, you have known the Father.
We, humankind, are intended to come from above, from the intent of the Father/Creator/Source of the all, accessible by and through the Spirit entering… intended to think the things of God.
I AM…
Where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Accessing the come from above truth of “My way,” the way of authentic humanness yessing the Father’s intent, calls for two or more gathering for intentional dialoguing… seeing and understanding the work we were given that we should do. Christ’s process was dialogue… two or more gathering with all-inclusive love in the process open to seeing and understanding come from above intentionality, the ableness to join in the Father’s work of making life whole.
The Father’s Command is Everlasting Life…
Christ repeatedly spoke of the Father’s everlasting life command. Seen from a human-centered perspective, we have historically believed this is speaking of our living in heaven forever. Yet, seen from a whole of life perspective… thinking the things of the Father, we see this in a new way, a more inclusive way… The Father’s command is everlasting life… Thy will be done… on this earth. The Father’s command is everlasting life on this earth. Earth was not created for humankind; humankind was created for earth. Earth was created for life to have a place to enter into the working of the Universe. We, humankind, have intended work and role in life’s everlastingness on this earth: Vesselness for love, the all-inclusive love emanating from the one Source, entering life, joining the Father in making life whole… that being essential to life’s ongoingness. Coming from below, following the way of our reason led, existence based culture, can and will never make life whole.
Christ clearly understood that his called work was to perfect being a vessel for love entering life. Hence his new command, love one another as I have loved you. By this all will know you are my disciples – you have embraced the discipline to follow me, my process and going forward teachings.
He asked them, after washing their feet, Do you know what I have done for you? If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it. I have taken these words, not to relate only to a specific time or event in Christ’s life, but to the whole of the work for which he was sent… putting into place that which is forever available to the intuitive heart/mind of essence… to eyes that can see and ears that can hear. Realizing that Christ’s “Yes” in his final hour was not to a command to die on the cross, but to complete/perfect the work the Father gave to him that he should do: be a vessel for the all-inclusive love of the Source entering life, no matter what the culture – the ruler of this world – would do to him! He gave us, by and through living a love sourced come from above work organized process, the full whole complete pattern of authentic humanness ongoingly yessing Thy will, not my will.
I am so very grateful to have been asked how the here and unfolding now philosophical relevance of Christ has impacted me personally… evoking reflective processing, intentional dialoguing and prayerful questioning… leading to my answer: In every way! I see people and the living earth from a new – come from above – perspective; I see my work and purpose on this earth from an intentional perspective; I see the ruler of this world, of which Christ spoke, to be our culture; I see how the our culture enters our hearts and minds, sustaining busyness and divisiveness, diverting us from seeing and embracing our come from above called work; and, I see that all of which needs to take place begins with community – two or more gathering in the name of all-inclusive love entering life – with the aim of working for all children in the world and eternalizing the living earth… stepping into the beatitudic path… the path of following the Christ process way, while living in a come from below culture. I ongoingly create and engage in intentional dialoguing, prayerful questioning, and reflective processing… with particular focus on two or more gathering in dialogue with the purpose of developing our intuition… the heart/mind necessary for accessing the Spirit of truth… that which is essential to seeing and taking up the work given to humankind at this time: “Work for all my children in the world.” I am ongoingly working to make visible the called work of now, and the essentiality of seeing the here and unfolding now relevance of Christ’s teaching and process as we take up the work… each and all seeing… seeing that calls for our working to understand, and then do… consciously and conscientiously answer yes to.
I can never retire from the work for which I was sent – that would be answering “No” to the Source of the all. And I will always remember that any and all who have seen and answered “Yes” to the work for which they were sent, carrying it out with love in the process, will be in harmony with the work that I am doing… for all embedded essence processes/virtues come from the one Source of the all. Humbly, I am experiencing the ongoing process of letting go of my will, and consciously conscientiously choosing Thy will be done on this earth.
