When they bring you in before the synagogues, the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how or what you shall reply, or what you should answer; for the holy Spirit will teach you in that moment what you must say (Lk12:11-12).
…a profound image of what having faith looks like. For some this appears almost preposterous. Coming from the mind of existence, this which we are being told to do when we are called to defend ourselves seems an insurmountable path to take. And so perhaps we take the option of having a plan; and when everything “works out” according to our plan, we thank God and credit the Spirit.
Yet, once we see there is another mind besides the mind of existence, that being the mind of essence, what Christ is telling us to do begins to clarify. We are called to bring with us the mind of essence, the mind of process, the mind that works from intuitive wholeness… the mind prepared, open and receptive to the wisdom of intent of the Source and intended ways of working of life. This is the mind open to, receptive to the teaching of the holy Spirit. The Spirit teaches us what to say… does not tell us what to say… the holy Spirit being teacher of wisdom. With the gift of the Spirit – the gift of the wisdom of intent – reason is then guided/taught… prepared, therefore, to speak. The mind of existence worries about defense; has a plan, sometimes what we call an iron clad plan… leaving no room for the Spirit to enter. The noise of the plan and the worry of the outcome fill the mind of existence; we never hear; we follow my way, not the way of the wisdom of the Spirit.
The ones blaspheming against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven (Mk3:28-29). This one is one who knowingly refuses the path of intent, even curses the path of intent… never hears the wisdom of the Spirit… hence closes self – and often others – from participating in the Father’s command: Life everlasting – on earth as in heaven (Jn12:50; Mt6:10).
Turning our backs on the teaching of the Spirit, we fail to see our work and our role – the work and role of humankind – the taking up of which being essential to Thy will be done on earth as in heaven (Mt6:10). And we hazard interfering with intent and intended ways… standing in the way of the Spirit; we will never be forgiven. Standing in the way of the Spirit, we are standing in the way of Life, in the way of our – humankind’s – work and role in eternalizing life on earth – the taking up of which being the means of building soul for eternal life in heaven, and manifesting spirit eternally available to all of life on earth.
Living life by – leading thinking with and speaking from – the teachings of the Spirit is the intended way of human working… the way of humanity fulfilling our part in eternalizing life on earth.
