The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few… Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs to the wolves… Into whatever house you enter, first say, Peace to this household. If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you (Lk10:2-6).
Only through developing the mind of essence, the community mind receptive to wisdom, wisdom of the Source, the intent of the Source and the intended way of working of life, are we able to see – to see our work and role. Seeing our work and role, we are able to use the reasoning mind of existence as a means for carrying out our work. Yet, when the mind of existence uses reason to control life, to make the world of existence superordinate to the intent of the Source, there is no peace… no peace in the household, no peace in the community. The world of existence does not warmly welcome the world of essence, hence the image, like lambs to the wolves.
The harvest is abundant, but the laborers few. When Life enters – at the beginning of life – the essence pattern of intent enters, essence pattern being the virtue enfolded within life by the Source… virtue intended to be unfolded within humankind through our becoming reciprocally nourishing within the whole of life, through our participating in and co-operating with the unfolding of this essential potential – the essence virtue – within each and within all, within the whole of life… all calling for reason being led by the mind of essence – the essence mind being our process mind, the community mind which, when open and receptive, sees and hears the intent of the Source and intended ways of working of life. The harvest is abundant – essential virtue imbedded within, intent and intended ways of working imbedded within – and the laborers few – few quieting ourselves, few communities coming together in reflective intentional dialogue, ongoingly building the essence mind, the mind essential to and enabling our participating in the harvest… few communities taking up our part in eternalizing life, taking up our work and role in Thy kingdom coming, Thy will being done on this earth (Mt6:10) at this time… taking up our community part in the eternalizing life command of the Source (Jn12:50). Leading to asking ourselves: Through our time on earth, what is our time on earth returning to life? What is our time on earth returning to the Source, returning to the Life, returning to the ongoingness of life? Worry not about your place in heaven; worry about your intended work – your intentional purpose here on earth. Participating in the harvest being the taking up of work and the embracing of role and entering the process – the process of life, the process of Christ.
