Hi All,
In January, Terry Anderson came from Grand Junction to join Wisdom Writers for a two day long gathering. After that reflective dialogue, we received from him a writing on the essential coming-from-wisdom processes: intentional writing, intentional reading and reflective dialoguing.
Intentional writing and the intentional reading of that which is intentionally written are mind organizing;
Reflective dialoguing is mind building…
Intentional writing and reading are preparing and enabling the mind for receiving wisdom and love; reflective dialoguing is building the mind out from which each can see and take up their particular and unique work and roles.
Realizing that many of you are participating in Wisdom Writers from afar through reading the reflections we offer, and that some of you are taking up the work of intentional writing – wisdom writing – on subjects to which you feel called, I feel the writings (below or follow link) will be of interest and help. While you are on our website, I would like to call your attention to the file on the right side titled, “Latest Postings.” This is where you can find our most recent writings.
All for now,
Sandra
Coming from Wisdom… at this Time of Now
Some useful orientation:
o The common law of earthly existence: Ultimately, the perspective we hold, where we start our thinking from, determines the path we take, the direction we move in, what we move towards, what we move away from.
o Wisdom is present to intent. She sees and understands intent and intended ways of working… the particular manifestations being called for at this time.
o Community is the smallest whole.
Recent interactions and contemplations have generated reflections regarding the necessity for and the working of coming from wisdom. Coming from wisdom, whether we are entering through the processes of dialoguing or writing, requires and emerges from a wholistic perspective… and in particular at this time of now, a life of the whole perspective, a perspective of potential versus a perspective of problem. If wisdom is present, actively present, so too is the imaging and understanding that emerges from a wholistic perspective and the seeing of intended ways of working… imaging, understanding, and seeing essential truths related to advancing our humanness; the particular advancement being called for… the advancement that becomes clear and realizable through the taking up of the unfolded work before us:
o Moving towards wholeness, away from that which divides.
o Taking up pursuits that work for all children, all children in the world.
o Bringing the world of our making into congruence with the world of intent.
The common processes of coming from wisdom – dialoguing, writing – share the aim of seeking to develop understanding – understanding relevant to intent, intended ways of working – and enabling mind organizing with regard to that, to intent. The more familiar process is that of coming from reason, where the aim is more one of seeking knowledge, gaining experience and knowledge, and enabling mind organizing with regard to that. Each, wisdom and reason, being unique and having particular work to do; both being critical to us and our way of working.
What is needed now is a wholistic perspective, a wholistic perspective being brought into particular arenas of work and thought… a necessity that calls upon wisdom to take on a leading role, leading in a way that ensures going forward actions have the character of being wise, and reflect the commitment towards congruence with intent.
Reflecting further on the coming from wisdom processes of dialoguing and writing, we see the former as mind building and the latter as mind organizing. Dialoguing is, at its core, about building a mind out from which each and all can see and take up particular work and roles. Not unlike the dance the bees engage in to generate understanding with regard to the discovered field of blossoms. Writing, at its core, is about being mind organizing… organizing the mind of the writer, and enabling – through intentional reading – the organizing of the mind of the reader. Intentional reading carries with it a pattern of reading the article three times. Beginning by reading it through without questioning or analyzing… letting the free flow reading do its work of bringing forth the eye, the eye of the mind that can see and understand what is written. The coming-from-wisdom processes of dialoguing and writing are essential community processes – processes that both enable the creating of community and the intentional working of community.
Bringing forth a few thoughts with regard to the work of the heart seems an appropriate way to bring this reflection to a close. Beginning with a reminder of “the dot and the line”: one Source; all else instruments. Thus coming from wisdom is a process that reflects our instrumentality and the realness of each and all having work, called work, work of the heart to carry out. In this regard, coming from wisdom is not so much “coming from the heart,” as it is essential truths of wholeness, intent, and intended ways of working “emerging through the heart,” through the instrumental mind of the heart… an emergence of truth and understanding that both reflects and enables the intended shift of now. We, in a sense, are drawn through the heart to bring a wholistic perspective to a particular arena/environment/community/country. There are many facets to the wholistic diamond. A partial perspective is in reality not a particular facet, but rather a stand-alone, singular framing of a window – perhaps a heartfelt, heart stirring window; but one not sufficient to bring about the particular work of now, the particular called for advancement in our humanness.
