Thou Shall…. A Now and Forever Truth
Terry P. Anderson & Sandra Maslow Smith
A Now and Forever Truth…
There is a Source, a will force, a creative force, an intentionality, behind the whole of everything… and within that, intentional ways of living and working on this earth.
If Love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcome.
“Thou Shall”… a now and forever truth… a truth that depicts the process for our returning to the path of original intent… the inner organizing process through which the community becomes a vessel for all-inclusive love entering, and an instrument for the ongoingness of life.
Part I… EMBRACING THE WHOLE OF THE TRUTH OF INTENTIONALITY; Taking an Intentional Perspective of Life
Free Will… Conscious, Conscientious Choice
Ultimately embracing the whole of the truth of our intentionality calls for free will choice… free will… conscious, conscientious choice… an inner processing potential intentionally present within our humanness… requiring, however, a bit of work on our part.
Free will… a process of freeing ourselves from the temptations of ego; from existence led, external impulses.
Conscious, consciousness… wholistic seeing and understanding of the intended ways of working of life, of ourselves.
Conscience, conscientious… a coming from above, essence based, process calling for our being open; open and attentive to the spirit and willfulness of the Source.
Free will, conscious, conscientious choice… a process for seeing, understanding, and developing the now called for right and good…
Right for the one, good for the whole; right for humanity, good for the whole of life…
The rightness and goodness that lies at the heart of intentional ethics…
That which both returns us to and sustains our presence on the Thou Shall path of original intent.
An inner processing potential that, given the work of now, calls for community – two or more gathered – processing for realization… for generating necessary imagery and understanding.
An inner processing oriented and organized by the essential truths of now:
+ One Source… the Intentional Source of each, all, and everything.
+ If love is not present in the process – present within our processes – love will not be present in the outcomes… in what we create, what we bring into existence.
+ If intentionality – the whole of the truth of our intentionality, our lovingness, our livingness – is not present within the perspective we hold, within where we start our thinking from, intentionality will not be present within the path we take, what we move towards, what we move away from; nor in what we create, bring into existence through our work.
The Work Now Before Us
Some ongoing reflection and dialogue have brought forth some added clarity and concreteness as to the working of perspective with regard to how we work as living human beings. Remembering that,
The perspective we hold, where we start our thinking from, determines the path we take, what we move towards, what we move away from; and ultimately what we create, bring into existence.
For the work now before us – creating a “work for all children in the world” culture – there is no ideological perspective, no ideology, that is whole enough, complete enough, truthful enough… a reality facing us regardless of what the ideology is associated with… be it science, religion, governance, education, politics, business, free market, etc. Thus, the necessity for a perspective that embraces the wholeness of the truth of who we are, and for a philosophy that is whole enough and complete enough for the work.
Some thoughts in that regard…
The Time for Taking an Intentional Perspective
Some ongoing interaction regarding the recent nuns’ letter on health care has brought to the fore some added seeing and clarity with regard to perspective – its work, and the necessity for our being conscious/conscientious with regard to the perspective we come from. The nuns’ letter provides a rich example of how a significant shift in perspective influences the unfolding of our thought process and actions. – what we create, bring into existence. We readily see, both in their writing and through reflection, the significant shift in thinking and action brought about through the shift in perspective they lifted up. The shift from seeing health care as a commodity to be managed by the free market, a market free of ethics, one which values extractive cleverness and acts in ways that implies ethics – rightness and goodness – are both impractical and foolish. Shifting from that, to seeing health care as an inalienable right – a manifestation of the truth of our humanness and the truth of intentional ways – is clearly a significant shift that takes us down a very different path.
And we can see a similar effect through the perspective shift in Mother Teresa’s approach to abortion: “Send me all your unwanted children”… a shift in perspective from legal imposition, to one of coming from a perspective of love – love in the process… a manifestation of our uniquely human capacity for compassion, and the expressed intent that we are to “Love one another even as I loved you.” (JN 13:34) A perspective clearly grounded in her conviction and faith in that, through the love of God, the Creator of each, all, and everything, all things are possible. A perspective that moves us towards the perspective we need to hold if we are to move from rules and judgment to love and mercy.
In previous work, we have come to see and understand the heart and mind organizing power of philosophy… the necessity of a consciously developed philosophy for our being disciplined, for discipleship, relative to truths we hold – that which we have come to understand and believe. And too, the necessity at this time of potential to develop a philosophy that is whole enough, complete enough, intentional enough for the work now before us… in particular the work of creating a culture that works for all children in the world. Work that requires we move towards wholeness, away from that which divides; work that recognizes that at this time community is the smallest whole. And now, at this time of yessing, of community yessing to intent and intended ways, we have come to see more clearly the guiding – the orienting and leading process – of perspective. The guiding work not unlike what the north star is to navigation, nor unlike what the star in the east was to the wise men. Guiding the unfolding of thought and action captured in the statement:
The perspective we hold, where we start our thinking from, determines the path we take, what we move towards, what we move away from; and ultimately what we create, bring into existence.
…a statement that reflects an experientially validate-able reality of how we work… a reality every bit as real as our experiencing of gravity.
And now at this time of potential, the time has come for community yessing to intent and intended ways. A time for authentic yessing, a time for coming from an intentional perspective. A time for seeing, understanding and developing an intentional perspective that embraces the whole of the truth of our livingness, our humanness, our beingness. A perspective that brings intentional clarity to who we are, why we are, where we are headed, where we should – need to – be headed. The writing, “Who We Are… An Intentional Perspective” seeks to bring forth the essence of such; seeks to provide a thought base for intentional dialoguing…
Who We Are… An Intentional Perspective
Who are we?
Why are we?
Where are we headed… where should we, where must we be headed?
We are… we are spiritual beings…
A people of and from the Spirit who have been intentionally, not accidentally, brought into the life processes of earth as living human beings…
Living human beings on an evolutionary upward unfolding path towards being and becoming more fully and truly human, more intentional in our ways…
A path of upward progressing of essence in harmonious accord with the intended, the potential realizing ways present within life… within the eternalizing of life on and through this earth…
A harmonious accord that requires our taking up ways of encompassing ever more wholeness of truth, and ways of embracing ever more inclusive love…
Encompassing ever more wholeness of truth – the truth of our livingness, the truth of our humanness, the truth of our spiritual beingness,
Embracing ever more inclusive love – Love God; Love thy neighbor; Love thy enemy; Love one another as I have loved you.
A harmonious accord with the process of life that is a manifestation of the intentional purpose – the essential “why” – of life, of earth, of ourselves…
Life being the process by which will, Thy Will enters into the working of the universe;
Earth being the process by which Life enters into the working of the world;
We ourselves being the process by which Love – the all-inclusive Love of the Source – enters into the process of Life.
The seeing of the essential “why” is extremely significant and so satisfying in many ways. To emphasize two such ways:
- It brings clarity, meaning and significance to our work as living human beings – to our called work, intentional work… the work that brings us into a systemic relatedness with intent, intended ways of working, and the unfolding work of the Source – the Father, the Creator of each, all, and everything.
- It lifts up the nature of questioning required to maintain consciousness/conscientiousness with regard to our path and pursuits. Such questions as: Are we advancing humanness? Are we nourishing life – the systemic, upward unfolding of life? Both of which enable us to move toward saying, with heartfelt authenticity, “We came to do the work for which we have been sent.”
When it comes to accessing, seeing and understanding spirit, love and truth, that which is required for the ongoing eternalizing of life on and through this earth, we look to intuition… the intuition of wholeness and process – the intuition of systemic wholeness and process…
Looking beyond the limitations of the sensory – the five senses. Looking beyond that which is anchored in the visible, the physical – the materials and energies of the physical; the domain of reason. Looking beyond that which is anchored in, comes from, existence; and seeking to see and understand essence – patterns of intent – and intended ways of working…
And at this time, we look to intentionally developing a “mother’s eye” – a process perspective of wisdom and love, truth and beauty… the eye that can see the beauty present in harmonious accord, in systemic wholeness, in the systemic working of spirit, love, truth and life… the beauty present in intentional ways, in our becoming more intentional – as a people, as children of the one and same Source… the eye leading us to creating a culture that works for all children… all children in the world.
Taking a Christ Process Perspective of Love
We Are Spiritual Beings
We are spiritual beings… we come into the life processes of earth the same way Christ entered into the working of the world… through the Spirit…
I am the way. (JN14:6)… Christ entered through the Spirit. That is open to us… always has been open to us… but we have not seen the way… we are stiff necked and hard hearted… no eyes that can “see”; no ears that can “hear”… that can “see” the works; “hear” the word. (ref. LK10:23-24)
Truly, truly, I say to you, if one is not being generated from above, he is not able to “see” the kingdom of God. (JN3:3)
…if not generated from above, we are not able to “see” the Father’s intended ongoing unfolding process of humanity, of the whole of life. Being generated from above, we are openly receptive to the Spirit of Truth entering… truth of the word – the gospel – and truth of the works – the creation.
Truly, truly, I say to you, if one is not being generated of water and of Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God. (JN3:5)
If not generated of water… if we have not changed, if we have not choicefully changed perspective…
And if not generated of the Spirit… if we are not starting thinking from truth – the truth of the word and works; the truth of intent and intended ways of humankind, the truth of the intent and intended ways within the creation processes of life…
We are not able to enter into the kingdom… not able to live in intended ways, to take our part in the systemic working of life and of love, in the here and unfolding now. This being the ableness essential to entering into the kingdom.
That having been generated out of the flesh is flesh. And that having been generated out of the Spirit is spirit. (JN3:6)
That generated from below is below; that generated out of the senses of existence is existence.
That generated from above is above; that generated out of “seeing” and “hearing” intent and intended ways is spirit manifested… such seeing and hearing coming from above, coming from the Spirit of Truth.
Do not wonder that I said to you, you must be generated from above. The Spirit breathes where he desires, and you hear the voice of him, but you do not know from where he comes and where he goes; so is everyone having been generated from the Spirit. (JN3:7-8)
Existence believes in existence… even when the voice is present, the existence mind does not hear, does not understand it is from above. Being blind to the world above, the reasoning mind of existence does not feel the breath of the Spirit, does not hear the voice… does not believe the Spirit speaks to us.
When the Spirit enters and we hear the voice, and when we live and work from the voice of the Spirit – when we live in the spirit – we are living by faith… faith in the intent of the Father, intent heard from and through the voice of the Spirit (ref. JN4:24); we do not know from where he comes and where he goes. When our lives and work are generated from the Spirit, we are living by faith… faith in the intent of the Father.
This is the process… the Spirit entering as voice we hear… Spirit ongoingly entering and manifesting; our ways inexplicable to the reasoning mind, the reasoning mind not “seeing” where we are coming from, nor where we are going… our ways even inexplicable to our own reasoning mind.
When we hear the Spirit and live in the spirit, we ourselves know we are coming from Spirit, and living in the spirit. We know the why of our living and working, but not from where the Spirit comes and where the Spirit goes; yet we have faith in the voice… in the truth of the Spirit.
Are you the teacher of Israel and you do not know these things? (JN3:11)
Jesus expects Nicodemus to hear the voice, to have faith in the voice of the Spirit. The Spirit of Truth never left earth! Being stiff necked and hard hearted, we have been unable to hear the voice. John the Baptist awakened and challenged us to change our perspective (metanoia)… baptism by water. Christ’s work being showing the way, making visible the process by being the process… giving us the way – the pattern of the process – of the intended fully and truly human, the authentic human, the human of the Garden. We are saved by seeing and embracing – answering “Yes” to – the way of being generated from the voice of the Spirit – the way of being generated from the Spirit, from above… the way of becoming fully and truly human.
Truly, truly, I say to you, what we know we speak, and what we have seen we witness and our witnessing, you receive not. (JN3:11)
Jesus speaks of “we”. He and the disciples are hearing the voice of the Spirit, seeing images from the Spirit, and are witnesses to this seeing and hearing, but not received or believed. He and his disciples want us to see and understand the Spirit speaks to those with ears to hear and eyes to see.
This is an earthly thing… this has always been an earthly thing… experience-able through the senses.
If the earthly things I told you, and you do not believe, how if I tell you heavenly things will you believe? (JN3:12)
If we do not believe the Spirit’s voice can be heard on this earth, how will we – will we ever? – believe the heavenly things the Father has given through the Spirit?
No one has gone up into heaven, except who has come down out of heaven, the son of man, who is in heaven. (JN3:13)
Heaven being the world of the Spirit, the kingdom of the Father… a world above from which we are able to come while living in this world of existence, a world above which we are able to call home after completing our work on this earth. Jesus, while speaking to Nicodemus, is coming from above. Coming from above, he is thinking as the Father thinks, not as man thinks. (ref. MT16:23) Out of heaven, by and through the Spirit of Truth entering, he comes down to the world of Nicodemus. Nicodemus thinks the things of man, not the things of the Father; Nicodemus thinks being generated of spirit after having been generated of water means coming out of the mother’s womb a second time. Christ leads us to seeing we are called to be in this world but not of this world. (ref. JN17:14-19)
He shows us the way… the Spirit entered him… and he lives in the Spirit, from the voice of the Spirit, open to “seeing” intended ways of life and of love. This is “going up into heaven.” This is a process, a cyclical process, the process of bringing spirit into life. The John 3:13 passage is not unlike many of Jesus’ wisdoms that confound the reasoning mind; for example, the one loving his life loses it; the one hating his life in the world will keep it to life everlasting. (JN12:25) One who has gone up into the world of Spirit and Truth, being generated from above, comes down to manifest spirit and truth on this earth; one who manifests spirit and truth on this earth is living in heaven while living on this earth. One who hears and manifests spirit on this earth is one who goes up into heaven, comes down out of heaven, and is in heaven.
The day will come, and is now, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father seeks such worshiping him. The Father is Spirit and those worshiping him need to worship in Spirit and Truth. (JN 4:23-24) Father… I glorified you on earth perfecting the work that you gave to me that I should do. (JN17:4) We glorify the Father by perfecting the work which he gave to us that we should do.
Truth, Love and Life come out of – down from – heaven, from above, and enter man who, living from truth of intent and intended ways, is coming from above, manifesting spirit on the earth… spirit intended to continue its work in the world of the Spirit after departing from the physical body. The son of man receptive to the Spirit of Truth, goes up into heaven, comes down out of heaven to the earth where he is able to live in this world without being of this world. (ref. JN17:14-19) The human being believing in the Spirit and answering “Yes” to this ongoing cycle, becomes a son of man…. Christ being the first son of man, the perfected way of a son of man.
Man was created with this potential – the potential to come from above, to be generated from above. Then we left the Garden… no longer able to hear or see… all the while, the possibility remained – the Spirit covering the earth from the beginning; essence virtue ongoingly being embedded within each and all of everything from the beginning – the possibility to become a son of man… man as created, man intended to join the Father’s creation work; not man attached to extracting from existence, extracting from life itself. Christ gives us the process. For this I have been born, for this I have come into the world, that I might witness to the truth; everyone being of the truth hears my voice. (JN18:27)… truth coming from the Spirit of the Father. Christ’s guiding words come to mind: “Follow me.”
Worshiping in Spirit and Truth
From the Prayer to the Father that Christ gave to the disciples (MT6:9-13) and the prayer to the Father the night before he died (JN17)…
Father of us, Father in heaven, let be sanctified the name of You…
Father… I revealed the name of you to the men you gave to me out of the world. Father… Holy Father… Righteous Father…
Holy Father… keep those that you gave to me in the name of you, that they may be one, even as we are one. Holy Father… one Source of each, all, everything… all with one Father… Father of wholeness and oneness; Father intending wholeness and oneness.
Righteous Father… Righteous, full of virtue, the Source of all virtue… virtue embedded within each, within all – potential enfolded, waiting to be unfolded – as part of the intended eternally ongoing upwardly unfolding creation. God is everywhere… Righteous Father – essence virtue embedded within – is everywhere… unique to each; common to all, enfolded; intended to be unfolded.
Let be sanctified the name of You…
I glorified your name by perfecting the work that you gave to me that I should do.
My food is that I do the will of the Father and finish his work. (JN4:34) We, each and all, have work we are given to do, work through which we unfold essence virtue/manifest spirit embedded within and through each and all… the “how” of sanctifying the name of the Father… the way of worshiping the Father in spirit and truth (JN4:24)… the way of loving God.
Let come the kingdom of you…
Glorifying the Father’s name by working in harmonious congruence with the manifesting virtue – spirit – of/from within the whole of creation, work that calls for the kingdom coming on this earth… work that begins, can only begin, within the love-one-another-as-I-have-loved-you kingdom come on earth… the community with the love-one-another ableness to take up the Thy Will – intention – of the Father/Creator/Source… the Father’s command being everlasting life, as in heaven, so also on this earth. (ref. JN12:49-50, MT6:10) We are taking our part in fulfilling the Father’s everlasting life command when we are on the path of becoming an intentional love-one-another community taking up the everlasting life of earth work of the Holy and Righteous Father at this time of now. This is the way of joining with Christ’s saving the world work. Humanity given a way of embracing our intended part in the everlasting life work of the Father… intended work, calling for – only possible with – our embracing our livingness, our humanness, our spiritual beingness… our becoming fully and truly living human beings… as intended since the beginning.
Christ came not to judge the world but that the world may be saved through him (JN12:47)… for when we know the commandments he gave us – Love God; the Father’s command is everlasting life (JN12:49-50); Love one another as I have loved you (JN13:34)… and we do not follow them, we are already judged. “Committing slow suicide,” is how Pope Francis recently expressed this. Without becoming an intentional people of earth, a people living with all-inclusive love in the process, we are a people unable to work as one in congruent harmony with intended ways of life, of living earth. Living earth dies from and through our attachments to extracting from life to serve self… and as earth dies, so too humankind dies. Earth, the receptive process for Thy Will entering life dies. Along with the death of earth, so also goes humankind. The Father’s command unfulfilled.
For God so loved the world so as he gave the only begotten Son of Him, that everyone believing into him may not perish, but have life everlasting. (JN3:16)… to live from the perspective of the Father of all is to become and be intentional… as the Father is intentional, the children are intended to be intentional. We are intended to become fully and truly human… embrace the truth of our livingness, our humanness, our spiritual beingness… and take up our part in the eternalizing life work of the Father. We – humankind – are intended to be and become vessels for the Love of the Father, the Creator, the Source of all, entering into life, the living earth.
Give us this day our daily bread…the bread of Life, Love and Truth… the essential three ongoing flowing gifts of the one Father, of our Father… gifts made visible by the whole and complete and perfected gospel of Christ, the process of the fully and truly living spiritual human being… gifts that make possible our coming together in community, joining in the Father’s everlasting life work, work calling for our loving one another all-inclusively, and living from truth… the truth of intent and intended ways of life, the truth of intended manifesting of embedded essence virtue through called work. Making real and vital the essential community (disciple/discipleship) work of now being that of becoming a love-one-another all-inclusive community that works for all children – all children in the world… intentional community work that begins with creating a work for all children in the world culture… work that initiates community living and working from the mother’s command voiced by the Spirit of Truth: “Work for all my children… all my children in the world.” Taking up this culture creating work calls for our having ears that can “hear” and eyes that can “see.”
Part 2… SHIFTING PERSPECTIVE to LOVE & MERCY from RULES & JUDGMENT; A Week of Unfolding Reflections
Moving to Love and Mercy
Recent two-or-more dialoguing with regard to justice and forgiveness, has led to some added seeing and understanding regarding love and mercy. Reflecting on the understanding lifted up the unfolding pattern of the processing which provided an outline of sorts for this writing. And so then… our process began with questions about justice and forgiveness; a questioning seeking a contrasting image of the two processes. We saw:
+ Justice: A reason led process organized around consequences.
+ Forgiveness: A wisdom led process organized around understanding.
Further contemplation and renewed dialoguing lifted up the question regarding Pope Francis’ statement calling for a shift in perspective from rules and judgement to love and mercy. Which evoked questioning aimed at imaging the working of forgiveness with regard to mercy… mercy seeming to be a higher order notion than forgiveness. Imaging/dialoguing brought forth this seeing and understanding:
+ Mercy, being merciful, comes about when love is present in the process – in the forgiving process. In this way, the wisdom of intent is bringing the guiding light of intent to the wisdom of experience… not diminishing experience but bringing into the process the added wholeness and depth present in intentionality.
All of which brought forth an intuitive sense of the relatedness of love and mercy to the work of now.
Mercy, from a Christ Process Intentional Perspective…
Reflecting on the images created by yesterday’s writing on moving to love and mercy, words came to mind, words of the Father, referenced by Christ: But learn what this is: ‘Mercy I desire, and not sacrifice.’ (MT9:13)
An image immediately came to mind, an image of sacrifice being a process of separating oneself or others from life, perhaps from the Life… and life, all of life, has embedded within, the virtue gift of the Father; each and all having unique essence virtue embedded within, enfolded, intended to be manifested on this earth at this time.
Sacrifice separates us or others from intended work and role, separates from manifesting and/or enabling the unfolding of the essence virtue enfolded within each and all. Hence the need for mercy – Mercy I desire and not sacrifice. Mercy being the process – the Love-entering process – through which we access the heart and mind to “see” the essence virtue within and to enable its unfolding.
Sacrifice diminishing the intended essence unfolding, spirit manifesting.
Mercy awakening the essence virtue within… virtue enfolded, intended to be unfolded… mercy enabling spirit manifesting.
Following these words of Christ, we find him saying, For I came not to call (the) righteous, but sinners, to repentance. Recalling that the Greek word, metanoia – shifting our heart/mind – is translated into English as repentance…
Righteous. Needing no shift in perspective; coming from above, from love and mercy; being virtue enabling and manifesting… living in and from essence virtue through answering “Yes” to called work, intentional work, with all-inclusive love in the process, enabling the unfolding embedded essence virtue of each and all life touched by the choices made, by chosen ways of living and working.
Sinners. Captured by existence… slaves to existence… blind to embedded essence virtue; deaf to truth, closed to love entering. Called to repentance – to metanoia, to changing perspective. Called to come from above – from an intentional perspective. He came to call these to come from above, to come from truth; to nourish life, the whole of life, and to work and live with all-inclusive love in the process. He being the way and the truth and the life.
Listen to his voice.
The Reconciling Force for the Work of Now
Continuing this reflection, I have come to see that mercy – love entering, intentional wisdom leading – is the reconciling force for the work of now… that which can reconcile the previously “impossible to reconcile”… for example, the divisiveness present in tribalism, racism, etc. The reconciling process that begins and ends with the truth of our being one people, one people from a common Source… each and all of and from the Spirit.
Washing the Feet
During the night, these words came to the fore:
Mercy begins with washing the feet. (ref. JN13)
Mercy begins with removing worldly hierarchical power from our thinking, from our perspective, including power over life and love and truth; mercy calls for our embracing the truth – one Source; all else equal in essence. We are not the source of life, love, truth. The Father seeks essence manifesting, essence enabling, essence nourishing… worshiping in spirit and truth… with love in the process, fulfilling the Father’s life eternalizing command.
Mercy begins with washing the feet of another… washing away the dung picked up from the roads, the memory picked up from existence… the washing of the feet being a process through which we begin to see – through the eyes of all-inclusive love, the eyes of ‘we are all equal in essence’ – to see the living human spiritual being… begin to see the essence virtue embedded within… virtue intentionally present, virtue intended to be manifested, potential intended to be unfolded on this earth at this time of now.
Judge not lest yea be judged. Washing feet, we let go of memory and begin developing eyes that can “see” and ears that can “hear”; we begin to see and understand… to “see” essence virtue – virtue embedded by the Father/Creator/Source – and understand intent – the Father’s Life eternalizing intent… the ongoingness of which is dependent upon the presence of the Father’s all-inclusive Love in our process.
Imaging “Thou Shall…”
Original Intent – Thou shall…
Live from wisdom
Harmonize with life
Leaving the garden – Thou shall not…
The Christ – Returning us to Thou shall…
Love God – Everlasting life… on this earth
Love your neighbor.
Love your enemies
Love one another as I have loved you.
I am the way and the truth and the life
I give you an example to follow
Be poor in spirit
Hunger and thirst after righteousness
Be pure in heart
Be my disciples…
Wisdom – wisdom of intent – is present to creation…
Wisdom of intent is made present through the Mother’s Eye. The Mother’s Eye moves us into the world of intent, the world of Thou shall. Developing a Mother’s Eye being the process of moving from Thou shall not to Thou shall. The Mother’s Eye being the processing of the heart, the merciful eye of love entering, of intentional wisdom leading….
Always remembering, our food is that we do the will of the One who sent us and accomplish His work (ref. JN4) … by and through answering “Yes” to bringing our essence virtue into essential roles for taking up the called work, the intentional work of now: the work for all children in the world.
Ongoingly Developing Intentional Ethics
Yesterday’s thoughts were organized around the previous – the writings that have emerged since writing Part 1 of these papers – appreciating what has been seen, and wondering if what was written should be Part 2. And then during the night some added seeing began to unfold… unfold in a cascading sort of way; coming from above into, within and through below; coming from essence into, within and through existence. The flowing into, within and through being an aspect of completing a cycle through returning to the Source. The unfolding:
The seeing of the Father, the Creator’s eye, as being the intentional eye of life and love; the Mother’s eye as being the merciful eye of love entering, intentional wisdom leading….
The Father’s, the Creator’s eye being the structuring of the mind, the Mother’s eye being the processing of the heart…
Prayerful questioning, intentional dialoguing, ongoing developing of the living philosophy of potential, being the process of developing heart and mind for the work of now: creating a hopeful future for the children, creating a culture that works for all children in the world…
Developing, ongoingly developing intentional ethics, bringing that into our ways of living and working, being the process by which we live and work in harmony, in congruence with intentional ways of working of love and life. Ongoingly reflects both the upward unfolding of life and our being required to embrace ever more wholeness of truth, to embrace ever more inclusive love.
It is through intentional ethics, through our developing and integrating intentional ethics into our ways of living and working that we, as a community will move towards righteousness, oneness, and systemic wholeness.
It is through this intentional unfolding, that we can join in the eternalizing of life work of the Father, the Creator; that we can enter and continue to be present along the path of intent, the path of realizing our potential to be and become an intentional people of earth.
Part 3… THOU SHALL… THE COMMUNITY WAY OF RETURNING TO THE PATH OF ORIGINAL INTENT; The Path of our Becoming an Intentional People of Earth
“Thou Shall” is…
“Thou shall” is the path of original intent… the path of our being and becoming an intentional people of earth.
Whereas morality, morals, provide the necessary restraints for going off the path, losing favor with the Source; it is ethics, intentional ethics, rightness and goodness, our living and working in right and good ways – right for the one, good for the whole, right for humankind, good for the whole of life ways – that keep us on the path of intent.
Whereas we can look to the one, the personal, for understanding morals; ethics, are a systemic phenomenon, and thus; we look to community for our being and becoming an intentional people of earth.
“Thou Shall”: The Community Way of Returning to the Path of Original Intent
“Thou Shall”: The way of returning to the path of original intent… the process of innerly organizing ourselves as a community for returning to intentional ways; and for developing the intentional ethics required for sustaining our working presence on the path.
A recent experiencing of a full moon rising over the treeless prairie, and its mirror-like reflection on the still water of the Missouri river initiated within me a processing that continues after several weeks. A process of seeing the significance, the intentional significance, of “Thou Shall”… not only to ourselves, but to the whole of life of which we have been intentionally created as systemic members. Some awakening of heart and coalescing of mind and thought is beginning to occur. This writing is an attempt to capture the seeing and understanding in a way that it can be further developed through reflective processing.
Thou shall love… Thou shall be merciful.
Love is the perfecting process. Love entering into the life processes of earth – the intended ways of working of life – makes possible the upward enfolding, unfolding, eternalizing of life on and through the living earth. Love entering through us into the life processes of earth is the way we become perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect (Ref. MT5:48).
Mercy, our being merciful – all-inclusive love entering, intentional wisdom leading – is the process for advancing humanness, for living and working in ways that nourish and sustain the ongoingness of life… the life process within which we are inextricably, intentionally woven.
When love is present in the process, all things – the intentional unfolding – become possible. When love is absent, humanness diminishes, and so too do the vitality of life, the ongoingness of the life, and the life processes of earth diminish.
With intentional wisdom lighting the path, leading the way, we, through reflective processing, can come to see and understand intentional ways of working… not only within ourselves as a human community; but also within the larger community of life.
Intentional ethics: living and working in intended ways; seeking and coming from the right and good – right for humankind, good for the whole of life. Our ongoingly developing intentional ethics not only sustains our working presence on the intentional path; but also provides the ground and the way for our joining in the eternalizing of life on and through the earth work of the Father – the common Source, the Creator of each and all.
A culture that works for all children in the world is an ethical, intentionally ethical, culture… a culture that understands that each and all have an essence virtue within, virtue intended to be manifested through essential roles taking up called work, intentional work with regard to the ongoingness of life… advancing humanness, nourishing life, work and role. And is a culture that seeks to create processes and systems for realizing the potential – the significance – of each and all.
The ongoing developing of intentional ethics is a systemic, community process requiring the exercising of free will conscious choice. A “Thou Shall” innerly organized – inner organizing of heart and mind – community acting in accord with the seeing and understanding of intended ways… seeking harmonious accord with Thy Will – the unwavering intent of the Source.
It is through the process of Christ that “Thou Shall” is both re-established and becomes possible as the inner organizing process for the community of humankind… for our becoming an intentional people of earth.
Now, as we are being called to return, to return to original intent, to be and become an intentional people of earth, a willful people of the one and the same Source; it is useful to revisit and remember our entry into the life processes of earth…
We, as spiritual beings, intentionally, not accidentally, entered into the life processes of earth as living human spiritual beings. Having embedded within an essence virtue, intended to be manifested through our taking up called work, intentional work of now. And having the potential to, through free will conscious choice, be innerly organized as a community by “Thou Shall” – the loving will of the eternal Source of life… to be and become a process by which love – the all-inclusive love of the Source – enters into the process of life.
And too, it is useful to remember that sinfulness – unintended sinfulness – came about through a free will choice on our part… bringing with it the necessary consequence of “Thou Shall Not”. That which was called for to arrest the inevitable diminishing of humanness and of the vitality of life. Necessary for arresting run down, but not sufficient to return us to the path of original intent; that being the work of “Thou Shall”. “Thou Shall” being the inner organizing of community required for taking up the called work, the intentional work of now: the creating of a more hopeful future for the children, creating a culture that works for all children in the world.

Praying for Seeing Intentional Ethics Guidance in the Christ Process
Reflecting on these recent writings led to seeking – prayerfully asking for – guidance on the intentional community way of developing intentional ethics from a Christ process perspective of love. Leading to a somewhat surprising journey of images. First focusing my attention on a teaching of Christ (JN10), immediately followed with a reminding of the work to which Terry and I have been/are being called.
Truly, truly I say to you, he not entering through the door into the fold of the sheep, but going by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. But he entering through the door is shepherd of the sheep. To this one the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear the voice of him, and his own sheep he calls by name, and leads them out.
We, each and all, are called by name… have a unique essence virtue embedded within, being called by name, being called to our work, our particular work. Sandra called to go into community and work for all children, all children in the world; to the work of leading the creation of value adding processes… all value adding processes work for all children in the world; all value adding processes begin and end with virtue. Terry called to go into the desert… to hearing the voice, coming out from the desert speaking for earth, opening eyes to intent, to intentionality. Much akin to Paul, who went into the desert, ongoingly heard the voice; wrote what was seen, what was heard. Not compromising what is given by the voice… not reconciling to old structures and structuring. Paul, free from the structuring of the time.
Sandra’s role… Make fruitful the mother’s command: Work for all my children… all my children in the world. Embrace and make visible the path of potential: The end of time is the beginning of potential; now is the time of potential, the time of the Holy Spirit.
Terry’s role… Speak for earth… awaken all to the love in the process conscience plank of becoming. Speak only from the voice – fight no more forever. Speak for earth continuing her work as a place for life, love and truth entering; and make visible humankind’s intended work and role in that work.
And when his own sheep he puts forth, he passes in front of them and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
Expressed here is a process, an intended way… Christ shepherds the process… he is the oneness of the process of the way of having the door opened; the voice, calling the names; leading the sheep into the safety of hearing the voice, seeing intent and intended ways; and leading out to pasture, pasture being where the work takes place, the eternalizing life work, the vesselness for all-inclusive-love-entering work.
Having faith in intent, the door opens to us; and hearing the voice, we understand, know the voice… we develop the discernment of discipleship. We know when the voice is of truth; and when the voice is of the culture – of ideologies. Always remembering this is all innerly. The voice of the culture speaks innerly and controls innerly when we do not know the voice of the shepherd. The shepherd shows us the way of following truth, of joining the Father’s eternalizing life work, the way of answering “Yes” to the name called. The door being the door into the fold; not a door into a physical surround. The fold being ones hearing the voice, following the way of fulfilling original intent.
But not a stranger ever they should follow, but will flee from him because they do not know the stranger’s voice.
All ideologies, including religious ideologies, are strangers when the door has been opened, when we are called by name, when we are following the way the voice leads. For none of them, no ideology, speaks to original intent. The way of an ideology is to claim itself to be the voice for the whole of life; while it is itself divisive by its ways, and self-centered in its perspective. Ideology inviting us to join its fold, the fold with the right answers: this is not the way of life, the way of truth. Truth and life are ever unfolding, systemically all-including, all-nourishing, humanness-advancing, serving one Source, ongoingly enabling fulfilling the name called by the voice, following the process way of Christ, of all-inclusive love entering.
Other voices, no matter how noble their cause, are entering through another way. There is no other true way than to go through this door, a door that has one Source, one voice, one Spirit of Truth… gives each their essence virtue… the door through which the shepherd who has gone out and walked ahead, has shown the process, the way. No other way of entering the fold (fold being process, not a structure) than by having faith in intent, faith in being called by name – given a unique essence virtue intended to be manifested through particular love entering, life eternalizing work of the Father… and then following the Christ process… the first to fulfill the name called by the voice, the first to answer “Yes” to the intentional work, the one who has gone ahead of us, leading with this process as we go out into the world below… with the voice, the work ever present.
This is the way of worshiping in Spirit and Truth. Begins with faith… faith in intent and intended ways of the Source; faith in each having a name, a calling; faith in the way, the process of the shepherd, a process always fed and guided by all-inclusive love.
Coming from a Christ process perspective leads to our seeing he was called by name, he answered “Yes” to the work, followed the voice of the Spirit, created a visible way through which each and all can see the process path. Nothing hidden; all made visible – to eyes that can see and ears that can hear… to all who know they are blind and pray the prayer to the Father for hearing our name, our purpose in the Father’s everlasting life work, for a fold (kingdom) that lives from and through the voice, for our (the fold) taking up the everlasting life work of the Father on this earth at this time. The second half of the prayer to the Father is all about the help we need to carry out the first half: the gifts/bread of life, love, truth; the ways to keep from joining the ideological answers forever present, always working to distract us from, take us off the path of our calling, drowning out the voice calling us by name.

Doing the Work for Which We Were Sent
My food is to do the work for which I was sent… (ref. JN4)
As spiritual beings, our food is to do the work for which we were sent… our spirit manifesting work, our called work.
And to carry out this work in compassionate – all-inclusive love entering – ways, manifested through the compassion of equality… the compassion that reflects the truth of our equality – we all struggle; each and all have, embedded within, essence virtue, to be manifested through taking up called work, intentional work; no one’s work is above another; we need each other… at this time community is the smallest whole.
Reflecting on this seeing brings forth a deeper realization of the essence virtue, sent/called work of Christ:
Essence virtue: Love, all-inclusive love entering.
Sent/called work: Create the process for our returning to the path of original intent.
It is through our saying yes to essence virtue, sent/called work, our “Thou Shall” returning to the path of original intent; that the realization of the potential present in Christ completing his work on this earth comes about…
There is no legal path to love, no legal imposition to love God, to love one another as I have loved you. Love, that which we are not the source of, is a free will conscious choice process. If our aim is to have God, the truth of Christ present in our processes, if we are truly serious about that, we look to love, not legality…
Where Love is present so too is God, the truth of Christ…
Where Love is absent, so too is God, the truth of Christ…
If love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcomes.

Absent Intentional Virtues, of What Use are Values?
Hours before dawn I was awakened from a troubled sleep by a questioning… a questioning of what use are values that are absent of – lack the presence of – intentional virtues… intentional virtues of truth and love… that which we are not the source of, but are intended to be manifestations of – intended to manifest within our ways, our personal and cultural ways – manifestations of… that which lies at the heart of our humanness.
Of what use are values that we ideologically organize ourselves around, declare allegiance to, yet are increasingly void of truth and love…
Not anchored in, nourished by, the truth of one Source of each and all; one people of the living earth, our common home…
Absent of love in the process… the all-inclusive love of the Source… the love Christ manifested through his presence and work on this earth… the love we are intended to manifest through the compassion of equality. The love lifted up in the two commandments:
+ Love God
+ Love one another as I have loved you
Of what use are values if they take us down a path of hate, vengeance, and violence… a path of diminishing humanness… a path absent of any trace of the truth, of the love, of the way of Christ?
Of what use are values…? The questioning continues… continues along a path of free will conscious choice – the essential virtue of our humanness… a questioning that has brought to me, in my mother’s voice: “Choose today who you will serve… what is that path?”… a questioning that has returned my thoughts to a “A Seeing of Truth” from Work for All Children…
A Seeing of Truth…
I became aware of being in a vision… a holographic or three-dimensional vision. It was like being in a bubble and all were in the bubble… we all were there together.
I was standing next to this personage who had the being of Christ. All of my discernment said that Christ was who was there. We were standing there with two scenes in front of us – one to the left
“A Seeing of Truth,” p. 179, Work For All Children, Path of Potential: 2008 or see http://pathofpotential.org/?p=488
and one to the right. He was standing with one foot in each of these images.
It was a totally silent image. This personage and I were standing side-by-side. Words did not feel necessary. The envisioning and the experiencing of the presence began to work innerly… as expressed thoughts. His hands were out, and what was before us was obvious. I had an overwhelming sense of togetherness. Then the words became present, but not with sound. I am saying this in a sequential manner; yet it did not happen sequentially, but all at once. I am describing what was heard, seen and experienced, without interpretation.
The left-hand scene was clear imagery. It was people standing with rocks in their hands, and a woman cowering in the corner against the wall. The right-hand scene was a very fuzzy mirror image of the scene on the left. We could see the shapes and forms, but the faces were fuzzy… in a sense, I could not tell if they were being created or erased. I almost felt that if I could turn on the light, then maybe I would be able to see it more clearly. That is when the image of “becoming” showed itself in the scene on the right. The personage of Christ put his right hand over, and I then had the sense this side is “becoming,” while the left-hand side is all “salvation.”
Then the “becoming side” words were spoken, “If love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcome.” The mirror image of those words on the “salvation” side were “Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone” (JN 8:7). The words of love – the words of becoming – were in the same voice – Christ’s voice – and were the mirror of the words of salvation.
Stone silence… I could “see” the words. They were being written. The words in each side were on a plank… it was the conscience plank. The words were so clear… there was no confusion in the words.
While those faces and shapes of humans on the right side were fuzzy, I could see they were single persons and groups – any person or group we find ourselves personifying as the enemy in order to achieve our goals. These fuzzy people standing around all had rocks in their hands. They personified any group that you have to motivate to pick up the rock to stone the perceived enemy. There were environmentalists, politicians, rights and peace activists, government, business and religious leaders, and on and on and on. At any time, anyone could be throwing and anyone could be thrown at. This is what made “If love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcome” the mirror of “Whoever is without sin, throw the first rock” (Cf. JN 8:7).
As his arm opened and reached out to the left, Christ said, “This is what was unfolding then,” and to the right, “and this is what is unfolding now.”
All of this began to be drawn into me, outerly disappearing… then innerly, these words came: “Life, liberty and the pursuit of dignity.” Then came “Experience the fullness and wholeness of life… that is what America is for – a place for that.” Then, “Liberty – the freedom to choose the process by which I develop my soul, realize my potential, and surrender to my instrumentality.” Then the words were, “Pursuit of dignity – become fully and truly human in the dignified image that was intended.” As the bubble – all of both images and Christ – started being absorbed into me, these thoughts were unfolding… and the inner experience was that of joyous nervousness. I was experiencing the doubtless realness of what was occurring as I stood there outside the morning shower.
There was no pre-thought before the vision came. It was just there… and it coalesced all.

Becoming… Becoming Intentional
There is a Source, a Oneness, an Intentionality behind and present within the whole of all…
An Intentionality that emerges as a will force, a creative force… which itself manifests as spirit… spirit of love, spirit of truth, spirit of life…
And a coalescing of spirit within and entering life through essence virtue, role and work… the coalescence required for wholeness, intentional ways within life, its processes, and systems.
We, being of and from the Spirit, enter into the life processes of earth as living human spiritual beings… intended to bring love and essence virtue into the process through role – the beingness and doingness of role… and intended to join in the ongoing, upward, enfolding, unfolding, eternalizing of life through called work… spirit manifesting work.
Bringing love into the process is a uniquely human intentionality.
Joining in the eternalizing of life through spirit manifesting work is a reflection of our intentional livingness.
Each and all have essence virtue, a unique gift essential to advancing humanness, nourishing life work… essence virtue being a uniqueness, a potential to be realized through role… roles being essential to our taking up called work, the intentional work of now.
Ultimately, our becoming intentional requires the coalescence of Thou Shall and Thy Will.
Thou Shall… Thou Shall love God, love thy neighbor, love thy enemy, love one another as I have loved you… love all-inclusively. At the core of Thou Shall is compassion, at this time, the compassion of equality.
Thy Will… Thy Will being done on this earth – living and working in intentional ways; the manifesting of essence virtue through roles essential to particular work, called work, the intentional work of now. At the core of Thy Will being done on this earth is intentional ethics; and the taking on of a life of the whole perspective, transcending the limitations of our human centered perspective.
At this time, love and will, compassion and ethics, coalesce in reciprocally nourishing ways through the intentional/called work of now: The work for all children in the world; a coalescence that is realized through emerging compassionate, intentionally working community processes… our moving towards becoming an intentional people, fulfilling original intent.
Becoming intentional is grounded in faith, our having faith in intent. And begins with process: seeing process, understanding process, creating process, seeking harmonious congruence with life processes. As such we begin to see and understand:
Faith as Intentionally orienting,
Hope as innerly purifying,
Love as process perfecting,
Spirit as life eternalizing.
The Going Forward Principles…
If love is not present in the process – present within our processes – love will not be present in the outcomes… in what we create, what we bring into existence.
If intentionality – the whole of the truth of our intentionality, our lovingness, our livingness – is not present within the perspective we hold, within where we start our thinking from, intentionality will not be present within the path we take, what we move towards, what we move away from; nor in what we create, bring into existence through our work.

Afterward… ABOUT THE WORK: COME FROM POTENTIAL, WORK FOR ALL CHILDREN… a grassroots process
Develop the heart and mind for the community work of now, the work of CREATING A CULTURE THAT WORKS FOR ALL CHILDREN – ALL CHILDREN IN THE WORLD…
There is, for more and more of us, a stirring… an inner stirring that is awakening within, the intuitive questioning and seeking… a seeking that is drawing us towards and into reflective processes… the necessary space for accessing intuition, particularly the intuition of wholeness… the intuitive processing required for ourselves, for our communities, to move towards wholeness and away from the pervasive fractionating divisiveness and conflict of our current culture. Divisiveness and segmentalness create within, an increasing sense of hopelessness… for all children, for the whole of life on earth.
Emerging from these reflective spaces and processes – the dwelling place and working space of intuition – is a seeing that to truly create a hopeful future for the children calls for our embracing the truth of wholeness… an intuitive understanding of the intimate inseparability of the wholeness of the children with the wholeness of humanity and the wholeness of life… a seeing that an inspirited future for the children can only occur – be possible – within a compassionate humanity and a flourishing, truly vital and viable living earth.
Coming from potential, working for all children, we enter into a grassroots process of creating peaceful and calming spaces where the inner work of intuition is heard and honored – through reflective processing, intentional dialoguing and prayerful questioning – bringing forth a seeing and understanding of a way forward that is not the way of today; but rather an intentional way… an intentional way of life, of this living earth, and our living and working in ways congruent with intent… a seeing and understanding of pursuits, and ways of taking up such pursuits that…
+ Move us towards wholeness and away from divisiveness,
+ Work for all children, all children in the world,
+ Bring our world – our ways of living and working – into congruent harmony with intent… the intended way of working of life, of love, of truth.
…pursuits that, given the intuitively seeable way we work, require a philosophy that is whole enough, complete enough for the work of now, the work for all children in the world… and a philosophy that is practice-able and experientially validate-able. Such a philosophy is the living philosophy of potential, the essence of which is:
The Living Philosophy of Potential
There is a Source… an intentional, willful, creative force behind the whole of all… a Source that manifests, interacts through spirit – spirit of love, spirit of truth, spirit of life. We are not the source… not the source of love, truth or life.
We are all children, sisters and brothers, of the one and same Source…
Endowed with free will conscious choice, we are intentionally – not accidentally – entered into the life processes of earth as living human spiritual beings… beings who bring – having inherently present within – an essence virtue: a gift, a potential to be realized through work, work we are called to pursue.
Intended to be vessels – conduits – for love entering into the processes of life… intended to be instruments for enabling the ongoingness, the upward enfolding, unfolding, process of eternalizing life on and through the earth.
Our instrumentality calls for the cracking of ego (letting go of our attachments to the structures and structuring of existence), by and through the necessary surrendering – the opening of ourselves within heart and mind,
+ to the truth of the intuitive process of spirit entering,
+ to the truth of the intended enfolding/unfolding potential present within
life, within all its members.
+ to all-inclusive love entering through us into the working of the world.
Work for All Children, the Going Forward Principles:
+ No matter where we are in the structures of existence, we are – each and all – being called to bring our essence virtue into essential roles for taking up the called work, the intentional work of now: “Work for all my children in the world.” Ongoingly seek to see our essence virtue and manifest it by and through taking up all pursuits in ways that work for all children… all children in the world.
+ We can’t solve our problems with the same heart and mind that created them. Let go of starting from rules and judgment.
+ If love is not present in the process, love will not be present in the outcome. Start our processes with love and mercy.
+ If intentionality – the intent of the one Source of all – is not present, held within our perspective, where we start our thinking from; intentionality will not be present in the path we take… within our ways of living and working. Create an intentional presence.
+ Each and all members, systems and processes of life have essence virtue embedded within, potential enfolded, intended to be unfolded. Seek to create a culture that works for all children, for the whole of life.
+ Intentional dialoguing is an intuitive wisdom-led “two or more gathering” process essential for seeing our essence virtue and manifesting that in the work for all children. Realize the potential present within women, within each and all: become community that works for all children in the world.
Taking up the Work
Coming from potential, working for all children, we are always remembering that if love – the all-inclusive love of the Source of all – is not present in the process, all-inclusive love will not be present in the outcomes, in the outflowing of truth and spirit into the working of our world, into our ways of living and working. It is through all-inclusive love entering that it becomes possible for our moving in the direction of being and becoming an intentional people of earth… consciously conscientiously choosing – an authentic “Yes” to – “Thou Shall“* becomes essential as we take up the work of creating community culture that works for all children… all children in the world.
